Rubes</ref> (also known as Horuses^{[citation needed]}) are enemies that debut in Bomb Jack. Their name comes from Rube, a slang term meaning an awkward and unsophisticated person, and their alternate name comes from Horus due to their resemblance to Horus as a falcon.

In Bomb Jack, they are robotic birds who follow Jack in a linear path.

Mighty Bomb Jack

In Mighty Bomb Jack, they have been redesigned to look like fat, electus-like birds and are now called Rubes. Aside from that, they serve the same purpose.
