Rubes[1] are enemies that debut in Bomb Jack. Their name comes from Rube, a slang term meaning an awkward, unsophisticated person.

In Bomb Jack, they are robotic birds who follow Jack in a linear path.
Mighty Bomb Jack
In Mighty Bomb Jack, they have been redesigned to look like fat, electus-like birds and are now called Rubes. Aside from that, they serve the same purpose.
