Please abide by the following rules:
Squares
🟩 — The edit will be reverted.
🟪 — If this rule is broken, then the user is given a reminder.
🟧 — If this rule is broken, then the user is given a warning.
🟥 — If this rule is broken, then the user is given a last warning.
⬛ — If this rule is broken, then the user will be blocked.
Editing Guidelines
- Use the American version of English. (🟪)
- Use good grammar. If you are not good at it, then you can use something like Spell Check Plus
- No Vandalism (varies on the severity)
- Do NOT add link to ROM files (⬛)
- Starting an edit war is not permitted; in other words, when someone reverts your edit, it is not an invitation to re-add it. (it depends; if it's their first time edit warring, then it's a 🟧 but if not, it could be 🟥 or ⬛)
- Always cite your sources, and do not put your source in your edit summary. (again, it depends.)
- Do NOT cite StrategyWiki pages; StrategyWiki is unreliable because anyone can add information to it, true or false. (🟩)
- Do not plagiarize. (🟧,🟥, or ⬛)
- Avoid using second-person pronouns. (🟪)
Creation Guidelines
- Check the wiki before making your page (the creator will get a notice saying that their article has been deleted)
- Don't make new stub articles (the creator will get a notice saying that their article has been deleted)
- Bold the title in the first sentence (🟪)
- Avoid using second-person pronouns (🟪)
- Add details to your page; don't plonk an infobox and call it a day (the creator will get a notice saying that their article has been deleted)
Things to avoid when writing
- Correcting whats correct (the period does not need to be in the quote)
- No flowery writing (using complicated words excessively to the point where the article becomes bland, dull and tiresome)
